We’re Going Global!

When Mark and Sierra Goetz founded the HomeCare Advocacy Network (HCAN), they planned to, one day, take unique their franchise model beyond the borders of the United States.

That day has come.

“We recently returned from London, where we participated in the International Franchise Show. We met with dozens of entrepreneurs and organizations who are interested in opening a home care franchise,” said Mark Goetz. “We’re thrilled with the opportunity to expand globally – sharing our family story of caring for aging loved ones and discovering the unmatched value of consistent, compassionate caregiving with people around the world.”

HCAN offers two franchise options – one for service-minded entrepreneurs and another tailored specifically for senior living providers. With HCAN’s business format franchising partnership, senior living providers are able take advantage of the traditional home care model that’s proven to be very successful. The HCAN team provides the world-class training, structure and system support needed to help providers successfully add a home care division to their organization, while utilizing their own brand.

“HCAN’s business format franchise model is unique among home care franchisors. This will allow for more creativity as HCAN helps other organizations solve global aging challenges.” said Eric Johnson, global team leader for the U.S. Commercial Service (a division of the Department of Commerce). “We’re working with companies like HCAN, the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service and the Federal Trade Commission, to make home care exportable.”

At the International Franchise Show, HCAN was represented by Summa Franchise Consulting, which is owned by HCAN Chairman, Robert Stidham.

“Robert and I joined forces more than two years ago to build the HomeCare Advocacy Network,” Goetz said. “Despite the pandemic, we’ve been able to develop deep roots domestically, and we now look forward to sharing our experience globally.”

While at the show, Goetz met with prospective candidates from Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom and more.

“There’s never been a better time for senior living providers to get into the home care industry – they’re missing an incredible opportunity if they don’t,” he said. “As the need for quality home care increases, they will be able to significantly grow their business without investing in brick and mortar.”
